Funding

When Sheila was setting up Emsworth In Bloom early meetings with Councillors and the Emsworth Residents Association (now the ERF) convinced Sheila that she would be keenly supported, but the LA was short of funds to offer. It is a problem that hasn’t improved much in the last 10 years.

This is true community project and we rely on the financial donations of the Local Authority, local businesses, ERA/ERF, personal donations, etc to ensure that we can buy the plants for the beautiful flower displays that get re-planted every May and October. Without these donations we could not continue to make such a great impact in making Emsworth so attractive to visitors and the community.

We are so grateful for all of the donations that we receive. Here are some details of some recent fundraising events:

JJ's Emsworth

In 2023 JJ’s in Emsworth Owner Johnny Miller raised £2500 for us with an old fashioned knees up. A great evening.

Alan Mak

Local MP Alan Mak has been a regular supporter of Emsworth in Bloom

Easter Egg Raffle

We were donated a 2kg easter egg by Havant Rotary to raffle. We raised £549 by selling tickets at various locations around town.

Sponsorship Packages

We have recently launched our Sponsorship model which is aimed at providing financial security for Emsworth in Bloom.

It enables local businesses that benefit from the extra trade that is brought into the town to advertise their business and at the same time support Emsworth in Bloom. All sponsors will have their logo added to the web site with a link back to the company web sites.
